Signal cables,Twisted pair cables
- Twisted pair: Consists of a group of wires twisted together as pairs (Multi-Pair Cables) and each pair may be consists of two, three or four cables.
- Unshielded twisted pair cables (UTP Cables): A kind of cables commonly used for telephone signals.
- Shielded twisted pair cables (STP Cables): Each pair is covered with aluminum polyester tape to protect the signal from external distortion. 2- Co Axial Cables: It is a cable consists of two conductors participated the same center and insulated from each other by polyethylene or any appropriate material.
Standards : Different standards are used to this cables according to its usage and it design like: BS EV IEC VSE….etc
Application :
- Instrumentation Cables can be utilized in process plants to connect instrument for communicating with each other.
- Usually they take their place in industrial plants such as refinery or petrol deposit, steel plants or any manufacturing units.
- They can be screened, armored, laid up in pairs, triads, quads etc. They can be insulated in PVC, PE and XLPEand sheathed in PVC and PE.
- They are widely used in transmission of T.V, Radio and its important usage in security system and Audio system.
